This is a mandatory meeting and dinner for handlers and a guest. You will be assigned times of the events on May 21 and May 22, 2010. Dinner will be provided.

This years trial will be held in the Salt Lake County and Utah County area. Here is a list of days and the events.

 

May 16, 2010   Tracking Event

All tracking dogs are encourage to compete.

Location Salt Lake County area

Event information will be coming on website. A track will be laid between half mile to two miles with evidence drop along the trail. Your dogs will be given a end location and with a find. All handlers involved in this event will need to meet the night prior to receive start time.

May 16, 2010  Explosive Detection

Location Utah County Area

All three venues realistic scenario and will be large area with an unknown numbers of hides. All explosives  and aids will be similar to items you will locate on the street deployment. You will be given a time limit of 20 to 30 minutes to sweep the area with a 30 minute break in between.

This year National Police Canine Association will be presenting the following award, "NPCA Street-worthy Patrol Dog."  This award will be selected by Greg Thomas from NPCA. This will be Judged by Greg and will be based on the most street worthy K-9.
